Data Science Club

Focus of the BYU Data Science Club:
1. Establish a national presence for the BYU Data Science Club with recruiters and academia.
2. Provide students with additional educational resources, including workshops, online courses, and professional tutoring.
3. Engage our students in real-world data science projects with companies and organizations pioneering innovation in Utah and throughout the nation.
4. Give our club members a leg up in the industry by creating robust networking opportunities with industry-leading organizations.

BYU Chapter of SIAM

BYU's Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) chapter is a student organization that promotes and explores the field of applied mathematics.
The chapter provides opportunities for students to learn about the practical applications of mathematics in industry and other fields.
Activities include talks by invited speakers, workshops, and research projects.
The chapter participates in the annual Mathematical Contest in Modeling.
SIAM serves as a platform for students to connect, learn, and develop their skills in applied mathematics.

BYU AI Association

The BYU Artificial Intelligence Association is dedicated to exploring, promoting, and applying Artificial Intelligence across various disciplines. We focus on providing members with hands-on experiences, recognizing the transformative power of real-world applications. Through collaborative efforts like hackathons, we encourage members to delve into the realms of artificial intelligence, data science, and machine learning to create solutions for practical challenges. Whether connecting with mentors or finding partners for entrepreneurial ventures, our community plays a pivotal role for those navigating the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence at BYU.

Statistics Club

The Statistics Club is the official student chapter of the ASA at Brigham Young University. The primary goal of the ASA is "promoting sound statistical practice to inform public policy and improve human welfare."
As an ASA student chapter, BYU's Statistics Club is part of a larger community of statisticians, with connections to other student chapters and professionals in the field all working towards this primary goal.

ACM BYU Student Chapter

The Association for Computing Machinery is the largest and oldest international scientific and educational computing society in the industry today. The ACM is a leading organization that promotes the advancement of computer science and related fields, including data science. As such, the BYU chapter of ACM provides opportunities for students interested in data science to network with professionals and learn about new technologies and methods,

Linux Club

The BYU Linux Club is dedicated to promoting the use and understanding of Linux, an open-source operating system. While the club is not specifically focused on data science, Linux is a popular operating system for data science and is used by many data scientists and researchers for its flexibility, reliability, and scalability.All students interested in data science can learn about Linux and its various tools and features that are useful for data science.
If you have a desire or need to learn Linux, then you are most welcome in our club. Meetings and events will be posted on our website.
